There are only a few days left for nominations, which close on March 8th! The City of Fishers will celebrate the dedicated volunteers and individuals who donated their time and talent to our community last year with a virtual City of Service Awards celebration in April. New award categories have been added this year, and a month-long celebration during National Volunteer Month will replace the one-night event from the past.
There are three community-nominated awards:
- Community Servant of the Year –
The purpose of the Community Servant of the Year Award is to honor a Fishers resident who may not be affiliated with a group or organizations, but regularly conducted acts of kindness to serve their community and neighbors during the year of 2020.
- Non-Profit Staffer of the Year -
The purpose of the Non-Profit Staffer of the Year award is to honor a local non-profit staff member who went above and beyond his/her non-profit staff duties and has had a significant impact on community at large in the year 2020.
- Essential Worker of the Year –
The Essential Worker of the Year award is awarded to individuals, deemed as Essential Workers, that have performed exceptional service to the Fishers community during the COVID-19 crisis in the year 2020. You can find information on what is considered an essential worker at https://www.coronavirus.in.gov/2496.htmhttps://www.coronavirus.in.gov/2496.htm
